Hungry?

Modern British with continental influences, all our menus are seasonally driven. Our produce is always fresh, and where possible, locally sourced, with 75 % of our ingredients sourced and supplied within a 15 mile radius.

Daily deliveries from farmers, fishermen and growers demands a daily changing menu all of which is prepared with the care and attention it deserves.  The focus is on  a menu suited to the time of year. See below for a sample menu.

If you are feeling hungry. A selection of fresh home made breads and olives are available in advance of your meal, or we have a daily changing bar menu on the blackboard, offering bar snacks – antipasti board, mini scotch eggs etc.

Off the menu, but during weekday lunchtimes we can also make sandwiches or a ploughmans, if you’d prefer. Similarly, if you have any dietry needs or allergies, please let us know – or if there’s something not on the menu you fancy, just ask and we will see what we can do.

Children of all ages are welcome, and a high chair is available. There is a children’s menu, and we can provide smaller simpler dishes using ingredients from the main menu if preferred.

Dependent upon the time of year we run various promotional menus from our weekly changing ‘bargain set menu’, comprising of simple dishes with two courses, to ‘one off’ meal evenings. Please enquire when booking if these are on offer at the time.

In the winter months, ‘Steak Night’ is always popular - four prime cuts, all from rare breeds and offered with a sauce of your choice.  During the shooting season, ‘Game Night’ is another popular event, with the menu heavily influenced by the produce from local game keepers.

If you would like to hold a party whether lunch or dinner, Christmas or a birthday celebration we can devise a bespoke menu for you.  For parties of 12 or more we would prefer a pre order from a set menu.  The restraunt area can easily be transformed to host a party of 30 people, for drinks parties, wakes, committee or club meetings. Thirsty?

With three Real Cask Ales on tap, you can often be spoilt for choice. Hook Norton is our local brewery and the Wye Valley is also popular, although we always regularly rotate our guest Ales. As you would expect, Guiness, local ciders and premium lagers are also all available.

Our creative and imaginative wine list offers the kind of diversity and regionality that you might hope to find.  With wines to suit all pallets and budgets, we have with eight wines available by the glass.

Each week we also promote a wine of the week, and in the winter months early booking is advisable for our wine and food evenings. Where wines are matched to suit the style of meal, and accompany each course.
